WMP300N and WRVS4400N woes

Decided to go with Wireless N at my new pad, and have been having a hell of a time getting my card (WMP300N) and router (WRVS4400N) to play nice, even though they are both from Linksys. I updated firmware and drivers for both to the latest versions, but still could not get a consistent connection. Funny thing is, the wireless G card in my Dell laptop has no problem connecting to the router. Makes me think that Linksys rushed the product out the door a bit too quick.

Looking at their online forums, it seems that a lot of other folks are having problems with the WMP300N as well. Yet Linksys has not updated their drivers in 8 months (the latest for the card is November 2006).

Anyway, after being disconnected for several hours today, I did some searching and found something that seems to have, at least for now, resolved my connectivity issues. Under the wireless setup on the router, I clicked on the "Advanced Wireless Settings" tab and changed the "Channel Bandwidth" setting from "Auto" to "20MHz". Right after that, I was able to reestablish my connection, albeit at 130Mbps vs. the 270Mbps that I was previously getting while connected. Hopefully it will at least remain stable at this setting.
